Excursion of Daman-e-koh
Daman-e-Koh is a viewing point and hill top garden north of Islamabad and located in the middle of the Margalla Hills. Its name is a conjunction of two Persian words, which together means foot hills. It is about 2400 ft from sea level and almost 500 ft from the city of Islamabad.
I went to Daman-e-koh in 2021 and again went on yesterday 7, January 2023. It was very memorable trip I and my rest of department enjoyed alot. We spent alot of time in collecting memories and we see the monkeys who were very friendly and they were playing with us.
Monkeys who were grabs the attention of the visitors by doing unusual activity like they were jumping from one tree to another, they were fighting with each other, the were snatching the things from visitors but they were living very friendly.
Here I would like to narrate an interesting incident. One family who were standing for photography he left the bag full of Lay’s and Juices on ground and making the pose for photography suddenly two monkeys came here, hold the bag and run away. The family says loudly “Ohhh, shyyy, shyyy”
the children were crying and saying to his parents “ Ohh papa hamara Lay’s monkey lay gay”( Ohh! Papa, monkeys took our Lay’s).
There we ate chips and golgape from the stall. Which were quite tasty. A paan shop was seen which looked quite beautiful and historic. For some time, I saw Pandan etc. on it. Some of these were made up of metal but majority of things almost they were made up of wood.
